Kyrgyzstan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Boosting Cooperation in Agriculture and Economic Sectors
Bishkek, The Gulf Observer: First Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Adylbek Kasymaliev, held talks with Saudi Minister of Agriculture and co-chairman of the Kyrgyz-Saudi Cooperation Committee, Abdulrahman Abdulmohsen AlFadley, to explore avenues for strengthening bilateral relations, according to the Cabinet’s press service.
During the meeting, Kasymaliev highlighted the strong momentum in Kyrgyzstan-Saudi Arabia cooperation in recent years, pointing to high-level bilateral visits as a testament to this growth. The talks focused on expanding collaboration with the Saudi Fund for Development, emphasizing that numerous ongoing projects play a significant role in driving economic progress in both countries.
Discussions also covered the importance of exchanging expertise in key sectors, including agriculture, energy, and tourism. The parties explored opportunities to boost trade, attract investments, and execute joint projects aimed at enhancing the quality of life in both nations. Kasymaliev underlined agriculture as a shared priority sector, central to both countries’ economies.
AlFadley expressed Saudi Arabia’s readiness to support Kyrgyzstan’s initiatives and actively engage in projects that foster agricultural and energy development. He highlighted the potential for mutually beneficial collaboration.
To advance their cooperation agenda, Kasymaliev proposed establishing working groups to explore collaboration opportunities and implement planned initiatives. Both sides reiterated their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties and formalizing new agreements to deepen their partnership.
