Uzbekistan Hosts Oman Business Delegation for Strengthening Trade and Investment Cooperation
Syrdarya, The Gulf Observer: A high-level business delegation comprising 30 representatives from Oman, led by Anwar Hamad Al Sanani, Chairman of the Branch at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, visited the Syrdarya region to explore investment opportunities and enhance bilateral trade relations. The delegation was joined by members of Uzbekistan’s Association of Exporters.
The visit included site tours of several prominent enterprises in the region. The delegation observed the operations of Elegant Fiber Textile and Yangiyer Flour Trading in Yangiyer, as well as Eco Wood Plus and the Chengiz Energy hydroelectric power station in the Khavast district. These enterprises showcased Uzbekistan’s growing capabilities in the textile, food, and renewable energy sectors.
As part of the program, the Uzbekistan–Oman Business Forum and a series of B2B meetings were organized, facilitating direct interactions between business representatives from the two countries. Participants included stakeholders from the textile, food, and construction industries, fostering discussions on potential collaborations, investment prospects, and trade partnerships.
The visit underscores the commitment of Uzbekistan and Oman to strengthen economic ties and build robust connections across key sectors. Both sides expressed optimism about the outcomes of the engagements, with expectations of increased cooperation in trade and investment in the near future.
