45 Senior Officials Swear Allegiance to China’s Constitution at Ceremony
Beijing, The Gulf Observer: A total of 45 senior officials from 35 departments and units under the State Council, China’s cabinet, pledged allegiance to the Constitution of the People’s Republic of China during a ceremony held on Monday.
The ceremony was overseen by Premier Li Qiang, who delivered a speech emphasizing the importance of upholding the authority of the Constitution. He urged the officials to lead by example in respecting, studying, observing, and applying the law, while performing their duties in accordance with legal frameworks and maintaining honesty and self-discipline.
Premier Li highlighted the challenges and difficulties that China’s economic and social development will face in the coming year. He called on the officials to shoulder their responsibilities with determination, striving to unlock new avenues for reform and development.
“The decisions and plans of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Central Committee must be refined and implemented,” Li said, stressing the importance of closely monitoring each task to ensure tangible results.
In his speech, the Premier underscored the significance of a people-centered development philosophy, urging officials to be attuned to the needs and requests of the people and enterprises.
Li further called for the thorough execution of plans outlined in the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee, ensuring that all reform tasks are carried out effectively for the benefit of the nation.
