Israel Releases 90 Palestinian Prisoners Under Gaza Ceasefire Agreement

Ramallah, The Gulf Observer: The Israel Prison Service announced the release of 90 Palestinian prisoners early Sunday as part of the Gaza ceasefire agreement implemented a day earlier.
The detainees, comprising women and minors, were released from Ofer Prison near the West Bank city of Ramallah and the Jerusalem detention center, according to an official statement issued shortly before 1:30 a.m.
A large bus carrying dozens of released prisoners departed the gates of Ofer Prison, marking a significant development in the ceasefire deal. The Palestinian Authority’s Commission for Prisoners’ Affairs confirmed that all individuals on the list provided for release were women or minors.
The release follows the terms of the truce agreement aimed at de-escalating tensions in the Gaza Strip and addressing humanitarian concerns. The development underscores ongoing efforts to implement the ceasefire and build confidence between the parties involved.
