Dubai, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, reviewed the progress of the Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Housing Project for Citizens in the Wadi Al Amardi area of Dubai.
The AED1.4 billion project comprises 672 villas under construction, alongside endowment markets, a mosque, a public park, and service facilities designed to meet the needs of Emirati families. The initiative is directly overseen by H.H. Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum bin Juma Al Maktoum, wife of H.H. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is named in memory of the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum.
The project is part of the Sheikha Hind bint Maktoum Family Programme, which aims to enhance family stability, reinforce community values, improve quality of life, and support work-life balance for Emirati citizens.
Sheikh Mohammed highlighted that such residential projects reflect Dubai’s commitment to advancing infrastructure standards in emerging neighborhoods. “Our objective is to ensure that every citizen enjoys a fully integrated environment that promotes stability and comfort, while providing access to the highest standards of living and well-being,” he stated.
He further noted that the Sheikh Rashid Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Housing Project exemplifies excellence and modern housing solutions, ensuring the highest quality standards for Emirati families. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s commitment to major urban projects that enhance family and social stability, fostering productivity and innovation to strengthen Dubai’s global standing.
During his visit, Sheikh Mohammed was briefed on the project plan, which is being developed by his engineering office. The development features green spaces, seamless internal access, and essential amenities, including a mosque named after the late Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, endowment markets promoting economic sustainability, a public park, and villas designed to optimize living spaces.
The project will be delivered in four phases:
- Phase One: 124 homes (completion in 2026)
- Phase Two: 208 homes (completion in 2027)
- Phase Three: 199 homes (completion in 2029)
- Phase Four: 141 homes (completion in 2032)
The initiative aligns with the Dubai Social Agenda 33, which seeks to position Dubai as the best city for living experiences and housing services. As part of the government’s citizen housing programme, it also supports the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan, emphasizing sustainable development, family stability, and enhanced quality of life.
The programme ensures future housing needs are met through optimal land use, diverse housing options, and the development of residential areas featuring green spaces, shopping centers, and recreational facilities, reinforcing Dubai’s vision for a sustainable and prosperous future.
