Sharjah, The Gulf Observer: The Board of Trustees of Al Qasimia University has expressed its deep appreciation for the continued support and guidance of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, describing his commitment as a driving force behind the university’s academic excellence and global standing.

The Board said the approval of the university’s annual budgets reflects the Sharjah Ruler’s strategic vision of investing in human capital and advancing higher education, scientific research, and community service. It noted that His Highness’s initiatives have strengthened Al Qasimia University’s position as an internationally recognized academic institution promoting quality education, research excellence, moderation, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.

Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Professor Jamal Salem Al-Tarifi, said the continued support would usher in a new phase of academic leadership by enhancing scientific research, modernising academic programmes, and accelerating the adoption of advanced technologies across educational and institutional operations. He added that the backing would also help align graduates’ skills with labour market requirements, attract distinguished academic talent, and expand strategic partnerships with academic, government, and private-sector institutions both within the UAE and internationally.

Al-Tarifi noted that Al Qasimia University, which hosts students from 139 nationalities, continues to implement its 2025–2030 Strategic Plan through its six colleges, reinforcing its mission to prepare qualified graduates equipped with knowledge, professional skills, and ethical values in a multicultural academic environment.

He further stated that the approved budget would contribute to upgrading the university’s educational and research environment, improving student facilities and services, and supporting community initiatives. These efforts, he said, align with the university’s long-term vision of becoming a leading global academic institution that contributes to sustainable development in the United Arab Emirates and beyond.
