Bukhara Hosts High-Level Economic Delegation from Pakistan

Bukhara, The Gulf Observer: Bukhara has emerged as the center of a major economic event as His Excellency Ambassador Alisher Tukhtaev, along with a delegation of leading Pakistani entrepreneurs from the pharmaceutical, textile, logistics, construction, tourism, and agro-processing industries, visited the region. The visit was organized in collaboration with the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Pakistan and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan to enhance bilateral economic cooperation.
Key Outcomes of the Visit:
- Agreements were reached to involve leading Pakistani companies, Fateh and Tabba, in managing textile enterprises in Bukhara.
- In May, roadshows will be held in Lahore and Karachi to promote Bukhara’s tourism potential.
- A deal was signed with Diners to launch textile production and establish a factory for perfumery and household soap manufacturing.
- Lattico, a local company, will begin exporting Uzbek dairy products to Pakistan.
- A medicinal plant storage facility will be set up in partnership with Herbion, creating new opportunities for the pharmaceutical sector.
- In Jondor, leather processing (with Hub Leather) and poultry farming (with Forza Roma) projects will be launched.
- In Gijduvan, textile production and dyeing operations will commence in partnership with Buxoro Fayz.
- In Shafirkan, Amirtex will manufacture goods under international brands for export to European and American markets.
This visit marked a significant step toward strengthening economic collaboration. Pakistani investors expressed high appreciation for Bukhara’s business-friendly environment, acknowledging the openness and support of local authorities and entrepreneurs.
