President Pezeshkian Stresses Muslim Unity in Eid al-Adha Call with Emir of Kuwait

Tehran, The Gulf Observer: President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran emphasized the importance of unity among Muslim nations, describing it as both a religious and strategic duty, during a telephone conversation on Wednesday with His Highness Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah, Emir of the State of Kuwait.
Extending Eid al-Adha greetings to the Emir, the Kuwaiti government, and its people, President Pezeshkian highlighted the shared religious, cultural, and historical ties that bind Islamic countries. He underscored Iran’s view of all Muslims as brothers, in line with the teachings of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH), and reiterated Iran’s commitment to strengthening bonds within the Islamic Ummah.
“Promoting unity and convergence among Muslim nations is a duty rooted in our faith and critical for our collective strategic interests,” President Pezeshkian stated. He also condemned the continued crimes committed by Israel in Gaza, calling for greater efforts to stop oppression and ensure justice for the Palestinian people.
In response, Emir Sheikh Mishal al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah expressed his appreciation for the Eid greetings and conveyed warm wishes of peace, health, and prosperity to the people of Iran and all Muslim communities around the world.
The Emir reaffirmed Kuwait’s desire to enhance bilateral relations with Iran and expressed confidence that increased cooperation and coordination between the two countries would contribute to a stable and prosperous future for the region.
The exchange underscored both nations’ mutual interest in advancing solidarity among Muslim states and supporting regional peace and development.
