President of Turkmenistan Approves 2025 Admissions Plan for Higher and Vocational Institutions

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov has signed a decree approving the 2025 admissions plan for the country’s higher and secondary vocational educational institutions, as well as the composition of the State Admissions Commission. The decision was made during an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Friday, according to Turkmenistan’s state news agency.
Admissions for the 2025 academic year will be conducted from July 14 to August 25, with universities and colleges administering entrance examinations at their respective locations.
The head of state emphasized the importance of admitting talented and capable youth, highlighting the need for fair and transparent examination processes, with mechanisms for public oversight to ensure accountability.
The newly approved State Admissions Commission will oversee the organizational and methodological aspects of the admissions process. It is mandated to ensure that the procedures are implemented in strict accordance with established regulations and standards.
Furthermore, the governments of the velayats, Ashgabat, and the city of Arkadag have been directed to create the necessary conditions to support the effective work of the admissions committees, enabling a smooth and efficient enrollment process across all regions.
This initiative reflects the Turkmen government’s ongoing commitment to strengthening the national education system, promoting merit-based access, and cultivating a highly skilled and educated workforce for the country’s future development.
