Turkmenistan, UN Discuss Expansion of Cooperation and Joint Initiatives

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Myahri Byashimova met with UN Resident Coordinator in Turkmenistan Xiaojun Grace Wang at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to discuss key areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the United Nations system.

During the meeting, the sides reviewed the implementation of joint programmes and initiatives, with particular attention to practical measures aimed at strengthening cooperation.

The officials also discussed prospective areas of joint work and exchanged views on current regional and international issues. Particular attention was given to preparations for and the organisation of upcoming high-level events.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their interest in maintaining close cooperation and further expanding collaboration between Turkmenistan and the United Nations.
