Malaysian High Commission in Islamabad Launches National Month Celebrations with Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2025

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: The Sports and Citizens Welfare Club of the High Commission of Malaysia (STMI Club) organized the National Month Launching Ceremony and Kibar Jalur Gemilang 2025, marking the official commencement of Malaysia’s National Month celebrations in Pakistan.
The event, held at the High Commission in Islamabad, began with the Malaysian national anthem Negaraku, followed by opening remarks from His Excellency Ambassador Dato’ Mohammad Azhar Mazlan, High Commissioner of Malaysia to Pakistan and Patron of STMI Club.
In his address, the Ambassador highlighted the significance of commemorating Malaysia’s independence and fostering patriotism abroad. He stressed that this year’s theme, “Malaysia Madani, Rakyat Disantuni”, reflects Malaysia’s dedication to unity, inclusivity, and progress. He further encouraged staff and officers to continue promoting the spirit of Malaysia through teamwork, community spirit, and excellence in service.
The launch ceremony was followed by Sports Day activities, where officers, local staff, and their families participated in friendly competitions including badminton, cricket, table tennis, chess, and carrom. These activities promoted a healthy lifestyle, strengthened team bonding, and reinforced unity in line with the spirit of Merdeka.
As part of the month-long celebrations leading up to Malaysia’s 68th Independence Day on 31 August 2025, the High Commission expressed gratitude to all contributors and called upon Malaysians in Pakistan to proudly display the Jalur Gemilang and actively join the National Month festivities.
