Ganja, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev and First Lady Mehriban Aliyeva visited the construction site of the Hajikend recreation complex on August 20.

Ramin Guluzade, Head of the President’s Administrative Services Department, provided an update to the head of state and the First Lady on the progress of construction and upcoming activities.

The recreation complex, spanning approximately 23 hectares across the Hajikend settlement in Ganja city and the Banovshali village of Goygol District, is designed to accommodate up to 452 guests simultaneously. It will feature 133 rooms of various categories, 19 single-story standard cottages, and 10 two-story VIP cottages.

Surrounded by natural landscapes, the complex will house restaurants and cafés serving national and international cuisines. Facilities for health and wellness, including an indoor swimming pool, a traditional spa, and a fitness center with modern equipment, will also be available.

To diversify leisure opportunities, the complex will provide a karaoke hall, a board game room, and specially designed children’s zones. Outdoor amenities will include football and basketball courts, as well as scenic walking trails.

A 90-seat conference hall, built in a theatrical style and equipped with modern technical systems, will host business meetings, conferences, and other events.

Upon completion, the Hajikend recreation complex is expected to generate around 300 new jobs, contributing to the region’s socio-economic development.
