President Mirziyoyev to Visit Turkmenistan for Trilateral Summit

Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev will pay a working visit to Turkmenistan today, the press service of the Uzbek President announced.

The visit comes at the invitation of the National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. President Mirziyoyev will participate in a trilateral summit in the “Azerbaijan–Turkmenistan–Uzbekistan” format, scheduled to take place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone.

The summit agenda will focus on prospects for expanding cooperation in trade and economic relations, transport connectivity, energy partnerships, and humanitarian exchanges. A number of important documents are expected to be signed following the meeting.

On the sidelines of the event, President Mirziyoyev is also set to hold bilateral talks with participating leaders.

Earlier, on August 5, 2025, the Uzbek head of state attended the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which was also hosted in Avaza.
