President Serdar Berdimuhamedov Meets Crown Prince of Kuwait to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

New York, The Gulf Observer: During his working visit to the United States, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with the Crown Prince of Kuwait, Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah.

The two leaders expressed satisfaction with the opportunity to exchange views on the current state and future directions of bilateral relations. They voiced confidence that the outcomes of the discussions would contribute to the further strengthening of mutually beneficial cooperation.

On the occasion, the Crown Prince of Kuwait congratulated President Berdimuhamedov on the successful hosting of the Third United Nations Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries in Avaza, and conveyed his warm greetings to the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Hero Arkadag.

Expressing gratitude for the kind words, President Berdimuhamedov emphasized Turkmenistan’s commitment to strengthening equal dialogue and respectful partnership with the State of Kuwait. He also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Hero Arkadag to the Crown Prince.

Both sides underlined the effective development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and Kuwait, both on a bilateral basis and within the framework of the United Nations and other international organizations. They highlighted the fuel and energy, transport, and communications sectors as promising areas for expanding collaboration, while also noting opportunities for enhancing mutual trade and developing export-import potential.

The Turkmen leader further stressed the broad prospects for cooperation in cultural, humanitarian, scientific, educational, sports, and tourism fields.

President Berdimuhamedov also noted that the year 2025, declared at Turkmenistan’s initiative as the “International Year of Peace and Trust” by the UN General Assembly, coincides with the 30th anniversary of the country’s permanent neutrality. He extended an invitation to Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid Al-Sabah to participate in the International Forum to be held on December 12 in Ashgabat.

Thanking the Turkmen leader for the invitation, the Crown Prince praised Turkmenistan’s foreign policy, based on the principles of positive neutrality.

Concluding the meeting, both leaders expressed confidence that bilateral relations will continue to strengthen and exchanged best wishes.
