President Ilham Aliyev Meets OTS Secretary General in Gabala Ahead of 12th Turkic States Summit

Gabala, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev Today received Kubanychbek Omuraliev, Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States (OTS), in Gabala.

During the meeting, both sides fondly recalled their previous encounters and reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing cooperation within the Turkic world.

Secretary General Omuraliev congratulated President Aliyev on the positive outcomes achieved in Washington, in the presence of U.S. President Donald Trump, concerning the ongoing peace agenda between Azerbaijan and Armenia. President Aliyev expressed his gratitude for the kind words and recognition.

Omuraliev also thanked the Azerbaijani leader for the country’s continued support in strengthening the OTS’s international standing and enhancing collaboration among its member and observer states.

The discussions centered on preparations for the upcoming 12th Summit of the OTS Council of Heads of State, scheduled to be held in Gabala under the theme “Regional Peace and Security.” The summit is expected to deliberate on key issues of mutual interest and regional significance.

President Aliyev voiced confidence that the event would make a substantial contribution to deepening friendship, solidarity, and partnership across the Turkic world.

The meeting concluded with an exchange of views on future cooperation prospects between Azerbaijan and the Organization of Turkic States.
