Saudi Arabia and United States Seal Landmark Agreements on AI and Civil Nuclear Cooperation at White House Summit

Washington, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia and the United States on Tuesday signed a series of landmark agreements in Washington, highlighted by a strategic partnership in artificial intelligence and a joint statement announcing the completion of negotiations on civil nuclear cooperation.
The announcements were made during a high-level Saudi–US summit at the White House, chaired by Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman and US President Donald Trump.
According to official statements, the agreements mark a significant expansion of technological, economic, and strategic cooperation between Riyadh and Washington, particularly in advanced industries, energy security, and emerging technologies.
In addition to the AI and nuclear cooperation frameworks, both sides endorsed new arrangements aimed at enhancing supply-chain resilience for uranium, critical minerals, and permanent magnets. The summit also saw the launch of initiatives to accelerate Saudi investments in the United States and broaden financial, economic, educational, and regulatory collaboration.
During the meeting, the Crown Prince and President Trump reviewed the state of bilateral relations and discussed ways to elevate the strategic partnership across priority sectors. They also exchanged views on key regional and global developments, with a shared emphasis on strengthening security, stability, and economic growth.
President Trump formally welcomed the Crown Prince with full ceremonial honors, including a cavalry escort, a 19-gun salute, military performances of the Saudi and American national anthems, and a flyover of fighter jets in tribute to the visit.
Following the welcoming ceremony, the two leaders toured parts of the White House before beginning their official discussions.
The Saudi delegation included Minister of Energy Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman, who also chairs the Saudi–US Strategic Economic Partnership Committee; Saudi Ambassador to the United States Princess Reema bint Bandar; Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan; National Security Adviser Dr. Musaed Al-Aiban; Minister of Commerce Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi; Minister of Finance Mohammed Al-Jadaan; and Public Investment Fund Governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan.
The US delegation comprised Vice President JD Vance, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, Energy Secretary Chris Wright, White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff.
