Azerbaijan and Oman Explore Enhanced Economic Cooperation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy, Mikayil Jabbarov, and Oman’s Minister of Economy, Said bin Mohammed bin Ahmed Al Saqri, held discussions on strategies to strengthen bilateral economic ties, according to media reports.

During the meeting, both sides underscored that the robust relations between Azerbaijan and Oman, built on mutual trust, provide a strong foundation for expanding trade and economic cooperation. They emphasized the importance of enhancing the legal and contractual frameworks to facilitate joint economic initiatives.

Key proposals discussed included the establishment of an Azerbaijan–Oman Direct Investment Fund, the formation of an Investment Working Group, and the creation of a Joint Azerbaijan–Oman Business Council to support sustainable collaboration.

The ministers also explored opportunities to deepen cooperation across various sectors, including renewable and conventional energy, transport, logistics, tourism, and other strategic areas, reflecting a shared commitment to long-term economic partnership.
