Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan Discuss Joint Projects in Energy, Industry and Agriculture

Avaza, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov have discussed prospects for expanding bilateral cooperation and advancing joint projects in energy, industry, agriculture, transport and other key sectors.

The discussions took place during President Tokayev’s working visit to Turkmenistan, where he met with his Turkmen counterpart to review the progress of bilateral relations and explore new avenues for economic and strategic cooperation.

President Tokayev thanked President Berdimuhamedov for the warm welcome and hospitality, emphasizing the strong ties between the two countries, founded on longstanding friendship, good-neighbourliness and mutual support.

Both leaders highlighted the positive momentum in Kazakhstan-Turkmenistan relations and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation across a broad range of bilateral fields.

During the meeting, the presidents reviewed the implementation of previously reached agreements and discussed promising joint initiatives aimed at enhancing economic collaboration, promoting industrial development, improving transport connectivity and expanding agricultural cooperation.

Particular attention was also given to strengthening cultural and humanitarian ties between the two neighbouring countries. The leaders further reviewed the schedule of upcoming joint events intended to maintain regular high-level engagement and deepen bilateral relations.

The meeting reflects the shared commitment of Kazakhstan and Turkmenistan to strengthening regional partnerships, expanding economic opportunities and promoting mutually beneficial cooperation across Central Asia.

Both countries continue to emphasize the importance of good-neighbourly relations and coordinated efforts to advance regional connectivity, sustainable economic development and closer people-to-people ties.
