Azerbaijani, Turkish Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Security During Meeting in Saudi Arabia

Baku, The Gulf Observer: As part of his working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Azerbaijan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jeyhun Bayramov, held a meeting with his Turkish counterpart, Hakan Fidan, on March 18.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the current security situation and the latest developments in the region, underscoring the importance of close coordination between the two countries.
Both foreign ministers emphasized the necessity of maintaining regional stability, preventing the escalation of tensions, and adhering to the norms and principles of international law, including respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of states.
The ministers highlighted that the Azerbaijan–Türkiye alliance continues to play a pivotal role in ensuring peace and security in the region. They stressed the importance of sustained joint efforts and coordinated actions to effectively address existing and emerging challenges.
In addition to regional security matters, the officials also discussed other issues of mutual interest, reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening bilateral cooperation across various sectors.
