President Ilham Aliyev Expresses Deep Concern Over Shooting Incident in Washington, D.C.

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has expressed deep concern over the reported shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner held in Washington, D.C..

In a post on his official social media account X, President Aliyev said he was “deeply disturbed” by the act of violence, underscoring that such incidents are unacceptable and must be unequivocally condemned.

The Azerbaijani leader also expressed relief that Donald Trump, the First Lady, and all attendees at the event remained safe.

“Such acts of violence are unacceptable and must be firmly condemned. Relieved that President Trump, the First Lady, and all attendees are safe. Wishing them continued safety and well-being,” President Aliyev stated.

The remarks reflect Azerbaijan’s strong condemnation of violence and its solidarity with those affected by the incident.
