UAE and Egypt Leaders Discuss Strengthening Bilateral Ties and Regional Stability in Abu Dhabi
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: President of the United Arab Emirates Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan received President of the Arab Republic of Egypt Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, who is on a fraternal visit to the UAE, for high-level talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional developments.
During the meeting, the two leaders discussed fraternal ties between the UAE and Egypt and explored ways to enhance cooperation across various fields, particularly those supporting shared development priorities and contributing to the prosperity of both nations.
The discussions also covered the latest regional and international developments, with both sides exchanging views on their implications for security and stability in the region and beyond.
President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi reiterated Egypt’s strong condemnation of the recent Iranian terrorist attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure in the UAE. He affirmed Egypt’s full solidarity with the UAE and expressed support for all measures taken to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens and territory.
The meeting was attended by senior UAE officials, including Hamdan bin Mohammed Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence; Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs; and other senior members of the leadership, along with ministers and officials. The Egyptian delegation included Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates, and accompanying officials.
Earlier, both presidents visited the Egyptian fighter jet detachment stationed in the UAE, where they reviewed operational readiness and ongoing efforts to enhance capabilities and preparedness for various challenges.
The visit was also attended by senior UAE defence officials and military leadership, reflecting the close defence and security cooperation between the two countries.
