Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Invites British Royal Family to Turkmenistan for Independence Celebrations

London, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, on Sunday invited members of the British Royal Family to visit Turkmenistan to participate in celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the country’s independence as well as events dedicated to the renowned Akhal-Teke horses.
According to Turkmenistan’s official media, the invitations were extended during meetings with King Charles III and Prince Edward and were accepted with great respect.
During his meeting with Prince Edward, Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and conveyed greetings and best wishes from Serdar Berdimuhamedov. He also praised the high level of organization of the events held in the United Kingdom.
Prince Edward thanked Berdimuhamedov for his remarks and requested that his own greetings and best wishes be conveyed to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The discussions also focused on equestrian traditions and cooperation. Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov commended the organization of equestrian events and expressed appreciation for efforts aimed at promoting horse breeding and equestrian culture.
During the talks, Prince Edward also met with Oguljahan Atabayeva, Vice President for Medical Activities of the Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Guardianship.
Oguljahan Atabayeva highlighted the use of scientifically based hippotherapy involving Akhal-Teke horses for the treatment and rehabilitation of children with disabilities.
Prince Edward expressed keen interest in the initiative and underscored the importance of further strengthening bilateral cooperation in humanitarian and healthcare fields.
At the conclusion of the meetings, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented commemorative gifts to King Charles III, Prince Edward and his family on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the people of Turkmenistan.
