Azerbaijan Holds Official Welcome Ceremony for Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov

Baku, The Gulf Observer: An official welcome ceremony was held in Baku on Monday for Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who arrived in the Republic of Azerbaijan on a state visit aimed at strengthening bilateral relations between the two countries.
A guard of honor was lined up in a square adorned with the national flags of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan to welcome the visiting leader.
Ilham Aliyev personally received President Berdimuhamedov upon his arrival at the ceremony. The chief of the guard of honor then reported to the Turkmen president before the national anthems of Turkmenistan and Azerbaijan were played.
As part of the official proceedings, the guard of honor marched past the two heads of state to the accompaniment of a military march, underscoring the importance of the visit and the friendly relations between the neighboring countries.
Members of the Azerbaijani delegation were introduced to President Berdimuhamedov, while members of the Turkmen delegation were presented to President Aliyev. The ceremony concluded with the two leaders posing for official photographs.
The state visit is expected to provide an opportunity for high-level talks focused on expanding cooperation in key areas, including trade, energy, transport, communications, and other sectors of mutual interest.
