Dushanbe to Hold Sixth Session of Seventh Convocation of City Assembly on July 10

Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: The Sixth Session of the Seventh Convocation of the Dushanbe City Assembly of People’s Deputies will be held on July 10, according to a resolution approved by the Mayor of Dushanbe on June 25, 2026.

According to the Executive Body of State Authority of Dushanbe, the session will consider several key issues related to the city’s governance, socio-economic development and youth policy.

The agenda includes a report by the City Election Commission on the elections to the Dushanbe City Assembly of People’s Deputies in constituencies No. 32 and No. 47, along with the confirmation of the mandates of the newly elected deputies.

Deputies will also review proposed amendments to a resolution of the Dushanbe City Assembly adopted on March 14, 2025, and assess the implementation of the National Programme for the Social Development of Youth in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2022–2026 in Dushanbe, including progress made under the city’s action plan in this area.

Another major item on the agenda is the review of the city’s socio-economic development during the first half of 2026 and the formulation of priorities and tasks for the second half of the year.

The session will also consider the approval of resolutions issued by the Mayor of Dushanbe.

To ensure thorough preparation for the meeting, a working group has been established to coordinate and finalize the agenda.

Under the mayor’s resolution, members of the Seventh Convocation of the Dushanbe City Assembly of People’s Deputies have been instructed to hold meetings with constituents in their respective electoral districts and submit concrete proposals arising from those consultations to the working group by July 9, 2026, to further refine the agenda of the upcoming session.
