Vietnamese Top Leader Calls for Innovation in Security Operations to Ensure Proactive National Protection

Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: Vietnam’s Party General Secretary and State President To Lam has called for sweeping innovation in the working methods of the People’s Public Security Force, urging the security apparatus to strengthen its capacity to proactively safeguard national security in the face of evolving domestic and international challenges.

Speaking at a ceremony marking the 80th anniversary of the People’s Security Force and the presentation of the Gold Star Order, Vietnam’s highest state honour, the top leader stressed that the security force must reinforce its role as the core institution responsible for advising and implementing the country’s National Security Strategy. He called for greater application of science, technology, and modern operational methods to anticipate and respond effectively to emerging threats in all circumstances.

To Lam emphasized the need for the People’s Public Security Force to continuously modernize its capabilities, improve strategic planning, and adapt to increasingly complex security challenges. He urged security agencies to actively integrate technological advancements into their operations while maintaining close coordination to protect national sovereignty, social order, and public safety.

The Vietnamese leader also highlighted the importance of strengthening the force’s professionalism, discipline, and technological expertise, noting that rapid developments in the regional and global security environment require greater preparedness and innovation. He said the security force should remain at the forefront of preventing both traditional and emerging security threats while supporting the country’s broader development objectives.

The remarks reflect Vietnam’s continued emphasis on modernizing its national security institutions as part of its broader strategy to enhance governance, digital transformation, and resilience against evolving security risks.
