Muslim Council of Elders to take part in 7th Arabic Book Fair in Istanbul
Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: The Muslim Council of Elders is set to participate in the 7th Arabic Book Fair in Istanbul, Turkey, from 1st-9th October 2022.
The Council’s stand is set to host a wide variety of academic publications that discuss topics related to tolerance, coexistence and human fraternity as well as combatting extremist thought and correcting misconceptions.
As part of its extensive book collection on display, the Council’s stand at the Arabic Book Fair in Istanbul is set to feature ‘The Pope and the Grand Imam: A Thorny Path’ by the Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam and ‘Love in the Holy Quran’ by Council member Prince Ghazi bin Mohammed of Jordan along with ‘Islam, the West and Tolerance: Conceiving Coexistence’ by Dr. Aaron Tyler, Professor of International Relations and Global Affairs at St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, Texas.
The Council’s stand will also feature 10 publications by the Chairman of the Council His Eminence Dr. Ahmed Al-Tayeb, the Grand Imam of Al-Azhar. Notable among these will be the three-volume ‘Al Qawl Al Tayeb’, which highlights Islam’s tolerant teachings as well as its role in establishing the values of coexistence, peace and human fraternity among humanity.
The Council is also set to organise a series of seminars and discussion panels at the Arabic Book Fair in Istanbul. Participants at the seminars will include His Eminence Dr. Mustapha Benhamza, member of the Higher Scientific Council of Morocco and member of the Muslim Council of Elders alongside Judge Mohamed Abdelsalam, Secretary-General of the Muslim Council of Elders and Dr. Samir Boudinar, the Executive Director of Al-Hokama Center for Peace and Research.
This is set to be the Council’s first participation at the 7th Arabic Book Fair in Istanbul, which comes as part of His Eminence the Grand Imam’s vision of promoting dialogue and spreading tolerance and peace worldwide.
