First Ladies of Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan Visit Child Rehabilitation Centre in Cholpon-Ata

Cholpon-Ata, The Gulf Observer: First Lady of Azerbaijan Mehriban Aliyeva, accompanied by First Lady of Kyrgyzstan Aigul Zhaparova and First Lady of Uzbekistan Ziroatkhon Mirziyoyeva, visited the Altyn Balalyk Health and Rehabilitation Center in Cholpon-Ata on Friday to learn about its services for children and rehabilitation programmes.

According to AZERTAC, the visit highlighted the importance of promoting child healthcare, rehabilitation, and social welfare through regional cooperation and the exchange of best practices.

Established in May 2022, the Altyn Balalyk Health and Rehabilitation Center provides high-quality medical care, rehabilitation services, and recreational opportunities for children. The facility has become a key institution supporting children’s health and well-being in the Kyrgyz Republic.

The center comprises 136 rooms with a total capacity of 800 beds and hosts between 8,000 and 8,500 children each summer from across Kyrgyzstan and neighboring countries.

During the remainder of the year, from September to June, the facility is dedicated to providing rehabilitation services for children with disabilities, offering specialized care and treatment designed to support their health, development, and social inclusion.

The visit by the three First Ladies underscored their shared commitment to advancing child welfare initiatives and strengthening cooperation in healthcare and rehabilitation across the region.
