President Emomali Rahmon Inaugurates Newly Built “Duo-i Modar” Boulevard in Hisor
Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the newly constructed “Duo-i Modar” (Mother’s Prayer) Boulevard in the Kamoli Khujandi neighborhood of Hisor township during his working visit to Hisor on August 11.
The newly developed recreational facility was constructed to provide residents with a comfortable environment for leisure and recreation and has already become one of the most attractive public spaces in the neighborhood.
Construction work on the boulevard began in May 2026 and was completed within a short period using modern construction methods. The boulevard covers an area of 0.40 hectares. During the landscaping and development works, 27 local residents were provided with temporary employment.
The “Duo-i Modar” Boulevard features a green and landscaped environment, with colorful flowers, shade trees and various ornamental plants planted throughout the area. Modern lighting has further enhanced the appearance of the boulevard, creating favorable conditions for residents to walk, relax and spend their leisure time.
A statue of a mother has been erected at the center of the boulevard, symbolizing sincere respect for the mother as the greatest source of love and affection.
A mother is regarded as a child’s first teacher, educator and guide in life. It is in recognition of this profound role and the sacred place of motherhood that the boulevard has been given the symbolic name “Duo-i Modar.”
During his visit, President Emomali Rahmon paid particular attention to the importance of honoring the status of mothers and respecting them as the most sacred figures in the life of every individual.
The President emphasized that a mother is a great and sacred personality, and that showing respect, care and appreciation for mothers constitutes a fundamental filial duty of every person.
