Hanoi, The Gulf Observer: General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam Central Committee and President Tô Lâm has stressed that the country’s grand national aspirations must be translated into reality through sound vision, well-grounded decisions and responsible action.

Addressing a key political and strategic gathering in Hanoi on Monday, Tô Lâm underscored the importance of turning strategic orientations and major national objectives into concrete results through effective implementation.

He emphasised that Vietnam is entering a new stage of development that requires stronger strategic thinking, decisive action and a heightened sense of responsibility across the political system.

The Vietnamese leader called for policies and decisions to be based on thorough assessment, practical realities and long-term national interests. He stressed that aspirations alone would not be sufficient unless they were accompanied by clear direction, appropriate decisions and effective implementation.

Tô Lâm highlighted the need to strengthen the country’s capacity to anticipate developments, respond proactively to emerging challenges and make effective use of opportunities arising from the changing regional and international environment.

He also stressed the importance of ensuring that national strategies are translated into specific programmes and actions, with responsibilities clearly assigned and implementation closely monitored.

The leader called for continued efforts to mobilise domestic and international resources for national development, while strengthening Vietnam’s position and role in the international arena.

He underlined the importance of maintaining political stability, promoting sustainable economic development, accelerating innovation and improving national competitiveness as Vietnam pursues its long-term development objectives.

Tô Lâm further emphasised the need for officials and institutions to demonstrate greater responsibility and effectiveness in carrying out assigned tasks, ensuring that important decisions produce tangible benefits for the country and its people.

The Vietnamese leadership has increasingly stressed the need to move from policy formulation to concrete implementation, with strategic decisions translated into measurable outcomes and practical improvements.

The remarks underscore Vietnam’s broader development approach of combining strategic vision with disciplined implementation as the country seeks to realise its national aspirations and strengthen its position in the region and the wider international community.
