Uzbek President inaugurates 6 new companies in Surkhandarya
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev got acquainted with the activities of Termez National Carpets LLC in “Yangiobod” mahalla, Termez district. The President of Uzbekistan pressed the symbolic button and launched six new companies.
The enterprise is capable of producing 2.2 million square meters of carpets per year. For this, modern equipment from Germany, Belgium, Türkiye has been installed. 150 new jobs were created.
About half of the production is planned to be exported. 80 percent of raw materials are localized. During the short period of operation of the enterprise, carpets and rugs worth US$255,000 were exported to Azerbaijan and Kyrgyzstan. This year, it is planned to supply products worth US$4 million to foreign customers.
The company pays special attention to the use of alternative energy. The solar panels installed here power the external and internal lighting systems.
The Head of state got acquainted with the production process at the enterprise. He visited an exhibition of industrial goods produced in the region.
The ceremony of launching 6 new production facilities took place. Representatives of the Indenim Cluster in the city of Termez, Fabullo Stroy Service in Jarkurgan district, Angor Baraka in Angor district, Termiz Agro Impeks in Termez district, a small industrial zone of building materials in Sariasiya district and Tupalang Hydroelectric Power Plant informed about their capabilities, via videoconference.
The Indenim Cluster LLC in Termez specializes in the production of ready-made clothes from cotton fiber. 400 new jobs have been created here.
The Fabullo Stroy Service in Jarkurgan district has mastered the production of autoclaved gas blocks with a capacity of 75 thousand cubic meters per year and created 80 new jobs.
A handicraft center has been established in the trading complex of Angor Baraka LLC in Angor district. About 125,000 pieces of finished garments, 50 types of national costumes and handicrafts will be produced here annually. About a thousand women will be provided with jobs.
The production of modern building materials has been organized in the small industrial zone of Sariasiya district.
The Termiz Agro Impeks LLC built a freezing warehouse for 3 thousand tons and a modern greenhouse in Termez district, providing jobs for 220 people.
As part of the Tupalang HPP modernization project, its total capacity has been increased to 175 MW. This will allow generating of 467 million kilowatt-hours of electricity per year.
In general, these 6 enterprises will create 2,000 new jobs. Their activities will add 370 billion soums to regional production and US$20 million to exports.
