Pamela Chopra, wife of late Yash Chopra, passes away
Mumbai, The Gulf Observer: Pamela Chopra, the multitalented Indian playback singer, writer, and wife of the late renowned filmmaker Yash Chopra, passed away at a hospital in Mumbai at the age of 74. Pamela had been battling pneumonia and ARDS for the past 15 days and succumbed to the illness on Thursday morning. Her last rites were performed at 11 am, as stated in a release by Yash Raj Films.
Chopra was a beloved figure in the Indian film industry, having contributed immensely to the world of music and writing. Her passing has left many celebrities and fans in mourning. Several actors, including Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn, Anupam Kher, Javed Akhtar, and many others, took to social media to express their condolences and share fond memories of working with Pamela and her son, Aditya Chopra. Hrithik Roshan and his father Rakesh Roshan were among the few celebrities who attended her funeral.

Salman Khan reportedly cancelled the celebrity screening of his film Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan as a mark of respect for Pamela Chopra. Her last public appearance was in the Netflix special, The Romantics.
