China, Cambodia to strengthen cooperation on law-enforcement

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Chinese State Councilor and Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong co-chaired a wrap-up meeting of the Year of Law Enforcement Cooperation activities between China and Cambodia with Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sar Kheng on Saturday.

Under the guidance of the important consensus reached by the two countries’ leaders, Wang said that the law-enforcement departments of China and Cambodia have made remarkable achievements in the Year of Law Enforcement Cooperation activities and accumulated valuable experience.

The two sides committed to strengthening their cooperation in the fight against transnational crimes such as online fraud, human smuggling and trafficking.

Wang said that China is willing to work with Cambodia to faithfully implement the important consensus of the two countries’ leaders, further deepen cooperation in preventing political security risks, and strengthen cooperation in law-enforcement capacity building, in order to better benefit the two countries and peoples, thus making greater contributions to building the China-Cambodia community with a shared future in the new era.

Sar Kheng spoke highly of the achievements made in the Year of Law Enforcement Cooperation activities and said that Cambodia is willing to work with China to implement the important consensus of the leaders of the two countries, continuously deepen the pragmatic cooperation in law-enforcement security between the two sides, and work together to build the Cambodia-China community with a shared future.

Wang and Sar Kheng jointly signed a work plan to continue to promote the Year of Law Enforcement Cooperation activities between China and Cambodia.
