Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen People and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, attended the opening ceremony of a new treatment centre complex at the Archman health resort on October 9, according to Turkmen state media.

Archman is one of Turkmenistan’s major health resorts, attracting visitors seeking medical treatment, rehabilitation and relaxation. The resort is particularly known for the therapeutic use of its mineral water, which is an integral part of its treatment procedures.

The resort has undergone extensive modernization in recent years, with significant development initiatives undertaken under the guidance of Berdimuhamedov. In 2009, a new building with a capacity of 400 beds was constructed to expand the resort’s facilities and accommodate more visitors.

Infrastructure improvements also included the installation of a water supply line extending seven kilometres from a mineral water source, alongside landscaping and environmental enhancement work.

A dedicated Saglyk ýoly (Health Path) was also developed within the resort grounds, enabling visitors to combine treatment with mineral water therapies and various physical activities to support their overall well-being.

According to the report, Turkmenistan continues to develop its health and wellness tourism infrastructure, with modern resorts equipped with facilities and services designed to meet high international standards.

The opening of the new treatment centre complex at Archman represents a further step in the modernization of the country’s healthcare and wellness facilities, strengthening the resort’s role in providing treatment and recreational services to visitors.
