Saudi Arabia to host World Environment Day in 2024: UNEP
Nairobi, The Gulf Observer: Saudi Arabia will host World Environment Day in 2024 the United Nations Environment Program said Tuesday during a meeting in Nairobi between UNEP Executive Director Inger Andersen and Saudi Ambassador to Kenya Khalid bin Abdullah Al-Salman.
Holding World Environment Day in the Kingdom reflects the vital and effective role of the Saudi government in the environmental field, state news agency SPA reported.
World Environment Day is celebrated annually on June 5, and over the past five decades, the day has developed into one of the largest global platforms for environmental awareness.
