President Tokayev congratulates Turkish people on centenary of Republic

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Chairman of the Majilis of the Kazakh Parliament read out the congratulatory letter of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev during the reception on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Republic of Türkiye, according to the press service of the Majilis.

I wholeheartedly congratulate the fraternal Turkish people on the remarkable date in the history of your country – the 100th anniversary of the Turkish Republic. Today’s Türkiye with its glorious past and rich cultural heritage and wisdom of its people is developing rapidly and is among the top countries at the global level. I wholeheartedly wish that your weighted and sound policy, hard work and good undertakings lead your country to a new Golden Century, reads the Kazakh President’s letter.

The Kazakh Head of State expressed confidence that the relations between Kazakhstan and Türkiye based on strong friendship and cooperation will continue for more than one century and maintain the spirit of expanded strategic partnership for the benefit of the brotherly nations.

Koshanov thanked the Turkish leadership and representatives of the diplomatic corps for standing by Kazakhstani people as the country faced the tragedy at the coal mine in Karaganda region.

He also noted the cooperation of the countries at the level of parliaments and within international platforms such as TurkPA.

The Majilis chairman said that on the occasion of 100 years of the Republic of Türkiye, Anadoly Street in Astana, Türkiye Avenue and Park in Shymkent, monument to Mustafa Atatürk in Almaty are to be unveiled. On October 26, a monument to Yunus Emre was opened in the Atatürk park in the Kazakh capital.
