President Tokayev orders to restore heating supply in regions

Astana, The Gulf Observer: President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev heard reports of akims (governors) of Atyrau, Karaganda, Pavlodar and Mangistau regions on heating and water supply in the regions, according to the reports of Akorda.

The President ordered to restore the heating and water supply as promptly as possible and ensure smooth operation of public utilities in all communities.

The President also pointed to the mistakes and negligence in preparations for heating season.

The Government, in turn, assured the situation is under control, except for cases where it happened due to outdated energy infrastructure of the country.

The measures are reportedly being taken in order to avoid emergency situations in the future.

The President revealed the Government and governors will be personally liable for the implementation of the tasks given.
