UAE President Allocates 50% Basic Salary Allowance for Imams, Muezzins

Abu Dhabi, The Gulf Observer: In a remarkable gesture of appreciation and support for mosque staff, President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has directed the provision of a monthly financial allowance equivalent to 50 percent of the basic salary for all mosque personnel, including imams and muezzins employed under the auspices of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments (GAIAE).
The directive, issued under the supervision and encouragement of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court, underscores the government’s unwavering commitment to recognizing the vital contributions of mosque workers in nurturing an atmosphere of worship and tranquility across the nation.
Dr. Omar Habtoor Al Darei, Chairman of GAIAE, lauded the initiative, highlighting its significance in enhancing the well-being of mosque staff members.
