President Xi and Bahrain’s King Announce Comprehensive Strategic Partnership

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: In a significant milestone for bilateral relations, Chinese President Xi Jinping and Bahrain’s King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa have announced the establishment of a comprehensive strategic partnership between their countries. This announcement was made on Friday during a state visit by King Hamad to China.
The historic decision was revealed following talks between President Xi and King Hamad. The Bahraini monarch also attended the opening ceremony of the 10th Ministerial Conference of the China-Arab States Cooperation Forum in Beijing on Thursday.
“Bahrain is a good friend and partner of China in the Gulf region,” President Xi remarked. He highlighted the enduring and sincere relations between the two nations despite their different national conditions.
Marking the 35th anniversary of diplomatic ties between China and Bahrain, President Xi emphasized China’s readiness to collaborate closely with Bahrain to enhance their comprehensive strategic partnership, aiming to bring greater benefits to the peoples of both nations.
President Xi reiterated China’s steadfast support for Bahrain’s efforts to safeguard its national sovereignty, security, and stability. He affirmed China’s backing of Bahrain’s independent development path, its Economic Vision 2030, and its diversified development strategy.
Highlighting areas of potential cooperation, President Xi expressed China’s willingness to strengthen collaboration with Bahrain in energy, investment, transportation, new energy, and the digital economy. He underscored the commitment to achieving significant outcomes in high-quality Belt and Road cooperation.
This new comprehensive strategic partnership is expected to open new avenues for cooperation and deepen the friendly relations between China and Bahrain, fostering prosperity and development in both nations.
