President Ilham Aliyev Holds Meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, held an expanded meeting with President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Asif Ali Zardari, in Islamabad.
During the meeting, both leaders praised the high level of political relations between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. They commended the mutual support the two countries have extended to each other, particularly Pakistan’s political support for Azerbaijan during the thirty-year occupation of its territories, in adherence to the principles of international law and Azerbaijan’s rightful stance.
The discussions underscored the potential for further expansion of economic and trade relations between the two nations. President Zardari congratulated President Aliyev on Azerbaijan’s hosting of COP29, to which President Aliyev extended an invitation to President Zardari to attend the event.
The conversation also focused on enhancing economic and trade relations and fostering investment cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. The leaders exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest, reinforcing their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties.
