Algerian State Secretary Meets Diaspora Competencies in San Francisco

San Francisco, The Gulf Observer: Within the framework of his official working visit to the United States of America, Sofiane Chaib held a meeting with a group of prominent Algerian professionals and experts based in the Consulate District of San Francisco, in United States.
The meeting was also attended by Noureddine Ouadah, who presented an overview of Algeria’s start-up ecosystem and the evolving innovation landscape, along with key reforms and facilitation measures introduced by the state to promote investment, particularly among members of the Algerian diaspora.
The discussions provided an opportunity to exchange views on strengthening the contribution of Algerian competencies abroad to the national development process. Secretary of State Sofiane Chaib underlined that Algeria attaches great importance to its skilled diaspora, considering it a strategic reservoir of knowledge and expertise. He emphasized their vital role in transferring experience, building partnerships, and contributing to national projects, especially in advanced technology and innovation sectors.
He also highlighted ongoing efforts to structure networks of Algerian competencies abroad and enhance communication mechanisms to better integrate their expertise into national development initiatives.
On his part, Minister Noureddine Ouadah detailed the reforms undertaken to foster a dynamic start-up and innovation environment in Algeria, stressing that these initiatives aim to create attractive opportunities for Algerian talents abroad to actively participate in the country’s knowledge-based economic transformation.
The meeting featured rich and constructive exchanges, reflecting the growing engagement of Algerian professionals abroad in supporting Algeria’s economic and technological renewal and strengthening its international presence.
It is noteworthy that this engagement followed a previous meeting held by the Secretary of State with several Algerian community associations active in western United States, during which he highlighted the important role of diaspora organizations in reinforcing solidarity, strengthening community ties, and fostering cohesion among Algerians abroad.
