Amina Mohammed Lauds Baku as Ideal Venue for Global Dialogue at WUF13 Closing Ceremony

Baku, The Gulf Observer: The Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Amina Mohammed, has praised Baku as a highly suitable venue for international dialogue, speaking at the official closing ceremony of the 13th Session of the World Urban Forum 13.

“Baku proved to be a very suitable place for discussions,” she said, highlighting the city’s role in facilitating constructive global engagement on urban development and related challenges.

Expressing appreciation for the efforts behind the successful organization of the forum, Amina Mohammed extended her gratitude to the Azerbaijani delegation and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme for their dedication and professionalism.

“I would like to express my deepest gratitude to the Azerbaijani delegation and UN-Habitat for their unwavering devotion and professionalism, which played a significant role in the success of this Session,” she added.

The World Urban Forum, a flagship global conference convened by the United Nations, brings together policymakers, experts, and stakeholders to discuss sustainable urban development and inclusive city planning.
