Ankara Hosts Uzbekistan–Türkiye Economic Roundtable to Bolster Bilateral Cooperation

Ankara, The Gulf Observer: In a concerted effort to deepen bilateral economic ties, a roundtable meeting was held in Ankara, jointly organized by the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Türkiye and the Türkiye–Uzbekistan Committee of the Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye (DEİK).

The event brought together representatives of the Uzbek diplomatic mission and a delegation of DEİK members, led by the Committee Chairman, Özgür Onur Özgüven. Participants engaged in comprehensive discussions aimed at enhancing cooperation across key economic sectors.

Priority areas of collaboration included trade, investment, and economic partnerships, with a strong emphasis on energy, agriculture, construction, and information technology. Turkish business representatives expressed significant interest in expanding joint ventures and affirmed their commitment to conducting Government-to-Business (G2B) and Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings. They also underscored their readiness to co-host future economic forums and cooperation events.

Special focus was directed toward advancing public-private partnerships and fostering development in the mining sector. DEİK officials reiterated their support for facilitating visits by Uzbek business delegations to Türkiye and pledged assistance in encouraging Turkish investors to engage in Uzbekistan’s emerging and strategic economic initiatives.

The roundtable underscored the mutual commitment of both nations to strengthening long-term economic collaboration and promoting sustainable investment ties.
