Ashgabat to host Uzbek, Tajik, Turkmen Presidents summit
Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: Ashgabat will host the summit of the heads of states of Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan in early August, the official press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported on Wednesday.
On July 26, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov, Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, and Uzbek Foreign Minister Bakhtiyar Saidov had a videoconference where they discussed preparations for the summit.
The foreign ministers of the three countries touched upon the draft plan of the meeting, the agenda, and the draft final document of the summit.
The ministers also exchanged views on the priorities of regional cooperation.
On July 15, Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held talks with the delegation that arrived in Turkmenistan under the leadership of Tajik Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Mukhriddin.
