Azerbaijan, Digital Cooperation Organization Discuss Advancing Digital Transformation

Baku, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ali Asadov met with Secretary-General of the Digital Cooperation Organization (DCO) Deemah AlYahya in Baku on October 6 to discuss digital transformation and opportunities for expanding international cooperation in the digital sector.
During the meeting, the importance of Azerbaijan’s membership in the Digital Cooperation Organization was highlighted in supporting the implementation of the country’s digital transformation agenda and strengthening international cooperation in this field.
Prime Minister Ali Asadov emphasized that digital transformation constitutes one of the key priorities of Azerbaijan’s state policy. He noted that systematic measures are being implemented in this area under the leadership of President Ilham Aliyev.
Asadov briefed the DCO Secretary-General on Azerbaijan’s ongoing efforts to develop digital infrastructure, expand digital public services and advance key areas including artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and the innovation ecosystem.
The meeting also addressed prospects for cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Digital Cooperation Organization in areas of mutual interest.
The sides stressed the importance of exchanging experience, sharing expertise and implementing joint initiatives aimed at supporting digital development and technological innovation.
The discussions underscored the potential for further strengthening cooperation between Azerbaijan and the DCO in promoting digital transformation and advancing new technologies.
