Azerbaijan Highlights Mexico’s Support for Its Territorial Integrity

Shusha, The Gulf Observer: Assistant to the President of Azerbaijan and Head of the Foreign Policy Affairs Department of the Presidential Administration Hikmet Hajiyev has praised Mexico’s principled support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity during the period of occupation.
Speaking at an official reception in Shusha marking Mexico’s Independence Day, Hajiyev said relations between Azerbaijan and Mexico are founded on mutual respect and adherence to the norms and principles of international law.
He emphasised that Mexico’s firm support for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity while Azerbaijani territories were under occupation had been of particular importance, describing respect for territorial integrity and international law as key foundations of bilateral relations.
Hajiyev also highlighted the continuation of political consultations and dialogue between Azerbaijan and Mexico, noting that the two countries share common positions on a number of issues on the international agenda.
He reaffirmed the importance of further strengthening bilateral relations and maintaining constructive political dialogue between the two countries.
