Azerbaijan, Türkiye Reaffirm Allied Partnership During Justice Minister’s Visit

Baku, The Gulf Observer: President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan on Wednesday received Türkiye’s Minister of Justice, Akın Gürlek, with both sides reaffirming their commitment to further strengthening the brotherly and allied partnership between the two countries.

During the meeting, Minister Gürlek expressed gratitude for the warm reception and hospitality extended to him and conveyed the greetings of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to President Aliyev.

President Aliyev thanked the visiting minister for the message and asked him to convey his warm greetings and best wishes to President Erdoğan.

The Turkish justice minister highlighted that Azerbaijan-Türkiye relations, founded on shared history, culture and brotherhood, continue to deepen under the close and sincere ties between the two presidents.

Gürlek commended Azerbaijan’s continued development under President Aliyev’s leadership, citing the country’s sustained economic progress, growing international standing and the historic victory in Garabagh. He also praised Azerbaijan’s role in advancing strategic regional initiatives, particularly in the fields of energy, transport connectivity and the Zangezur Corridor, reaffirming that Türkiye would continue to stand firmly alongside Azerbaijan.

The two sides welcomed the steady expansion of cooperation across all sectors, describing the bilateral relationship as one of friendship, brotherhood and strategic alliance.

They also expressed satisfaction with the effective collaboration between the justice ministries of Azerbaijan and Türkiye and exchanged views on further expanding legal and judicial cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

The meeting reaffirmed the shared commitment of both countries to enhancing comprehensive bilateral cooperation and strengthening their strategic partnership for regional peace, stability and development.
