Azerbaijani Commentator Azer Hasret Urges India to End Provocations Against Pakistan

Khachmaz, The Gulf Observer: Prominent Azerbaijani political commentator and seasoned civil society activist Mr. Azer Hasret, based in Dadali (Khachmaz), has strongly criticized India’s recent stance toward Pakistan, urging New Delhi to halt what he described as provocative actions against a peaceful and brotherly nation.

In a statement issued following the recent terror attack on tourists in Kashmir, Mr. Hasret emphasized that Pakistan has consistently demonstrated a commitment to resolving regional disputes through peaceful dialogue.

“Pakistan is a friendly and peaceful country. As we know, this country is eager to solve all problems through peaceful means. In this situation, India must not use a terror attack on tourists in Kashmir as a pretext to blame and attack Pakistan. We must take into consideration that the attack occurred in the territory which is de facto under India’s control. This means that India is the only side bearing responsibility for this bloody case claiming the lives of dozens of innocent people,” Mr. Hasret stated.

He went on to warn that any escalation by India would not go unanswered, and emphasized the strong bonds of solidarity between the people of Azerbaijan, the wider Turkic world, and Pakistan.

“We are brothers, and we’ll not let Pakistan alone in front of India’s aggression. We don’t want any escalation or bloody actions. But in the case of India’s growing aggression, the latter must know that Pakistan is not alone,” he added.

Mr. Hasret’s remarks reflect a growing sense of concern among Turkic communities over rising regional tensions and underscore Azerbaijan’s fraternal ties with Pakistan, particularly in times of geopolitical stress.
