Doha, The Gulf Observer: Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bakhtiyor Saidov, participated in the 3rd Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) Summit, held in Doha under the theme of “Sports Diplomacy.” The summit, which brought together leaders and diplomats from across the region, focused on the role of sports in promoting peace and fostering international cooperation.

In his address, Minister Saidov emphasized the unifying power of sports, describing it as “a messenger of peace, appreciated by all people regardless of their nationality and religion.” He noted that sports have long served as a platform for dialogue, unity, and mutual support, especially in the context of global events like the Olympic Games.

Saidov praised the Central Asian countries’ participation in the recent Paris Olympic Games as a clear demonstration of this spirit. He also expressed his gratitude to the Government of Qatar for its excellent organization of the ACD Summit, underscoring the importance of such forums in advancing international collaboration through sports diplomacy.

The ACD Summit in Doha highlighted the shared commitment of Asian countries to use sports as a means of building bridges between nations, promoting understanding, and encouraging peaceful coexistence.
