Chairman of KazMunayGas Reports Operational and Financial Results to President Tokayev

Astana, The Gulf Observer: Magzum Mirzagaliyev, Chairman of the Management Board of JSC NC KazMunayGas, presented a report to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the operational and financial performance of the company in 2023. Key production indicators showed growth compared to the previous year.

During the meeting, Mirzagaliyev provided details on the development of Kazakh oil export routes, including the delivery of crude oil to Germany and Azerbaijan via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline. Kazakhstan has expanded its tanker fleet in collaboration with Emirati partners.

The President received updates on tasks related to increasing commercial gas production, ensuring a continuous supply of petroleum products to the domestic market, attracting investments, and advancing petrochemical projects. The progress of the Kalamkas – Sea, Khazar, Auezov project in the Kazakhstani sector of the Caspian Sea and KazMunayGas’ geological exploration programs were also discussed.

Additionally, Mirzagaliyev reported on social projects in regions where KazMunayGas operates, highlighting the completion of the reconstruction of the 1st stage of the Astrakhan-Mangyshlak water supply line and the commencement of the construction of a new water desalination plant in Zhanaozen.

President Tokayev issued tasks for the implementation of investment projects, maintaining stability in hydrocarbon export routes, expanding geological exploration efforts, and emphasized the importance of focusing on the development of the petrochemical sector.
