China’s New Twin-Engine Unmanned Transport Aircraft Completes Maiden Flight
Zigong, The Gulf Observer: China’s latest advancement in unmanned aerial technology, a large twin-engine transport aircraft, successfully completed its maiden flight on Sunday from Zigong Fengming General Airport in Sichuan Province. The test flight, lasting approximately 20 minutes, reported normal functioning of all systems, according to the aircraft’s developer.
Developed by Sichuan Tengden Sci-tech Innovation Co., Ltd., a prominent domestic enterprise in intelligent aerial vehicle research and manufacturing, the aircraft is engineered to address growing market demands. It features a wingspan of 16.1 meters and a height of 4.6 meters, with a cargo space of 12 cubic meters and a commercial payload capacity of 2 tonnes.
The new aircraft is designed with advanced loading and unloading capabilities, high reliability, and elevated safety standards. It also incorporates a high degree of intelligence, aiming to enhance China’s air cargo transportation capabilities and contribute to the development of smart logistics within the low-altitude economy sector. This innovation marks a significant step forward in expanding the country’s air cargo infrastructure and logistics solutions.
